The Key’s the Thing
If ever you have bought ready- to- build
Furniture from Ikea, you are probably
Familiar with this tiny, handy tool
It comes in many sizes and shapes, I hear
but the one most often associated
with the great Swedish conglomerate
Is an “L” shape of sorts – one side longer
Than the other and its ends are usually
Hexagonal to fit the screws that hold
The boards and struts and stuff together
As you fashion your bookcase, sleighbed,
desk, or wine-rack – almost anything
You can think of – you, your Allen Key
And a box full of parts from Ikea
Can create, with a modicum of energy
And only minor frustration, or not
Depending on your threshold for such
Things – just be sure to count your
Parts before you start!
