Anticipation

I know, I know - it's early days but after doing a small stone for Mindful Writing yesterday with literally hundreds and hundreds of other small stoners from around the world, I couldn't resist starting to get this blog ready for January's upcoming river. And whenever I get a few moments, I want to try and still myself and even meditate a bit so that I do stop, pay attention, and write a small stone for this blog.

First Impressions of Basilicata

They said the south is different
You won’t like it as well
As Toscana, or Firenze say;
It’s a much poorer region
And the people are unfriendly
No-one speaks English
And the countryside’s just
Not pretty; it’s plain ugly.
They were wrong.
