Day 2 Small Stone for Summer's River

The Hush of Waiting Rooms

Quiet wraps each patient
In a blanket of isolation
Lost to their own pain
Or the bleakness
That comes from not knowing
What's wrong, what's next
Is it serious; why me, why now ...

  1. The two beginning lines are perfect. THey help set the scene and pulled me in. The ending lines had me thinking of all the reasons why.

    Good work.
